MZ History
Our story began in 2005 - those were the days of modems, gadu-gadu and the iconic online forums, where strength training enthusiasts exchanged their own experiences and built on them their "know how" regarding training, diet and supplementation.
It was there, on the legendary SFD forum, that the current CEO of the company served as an advisor. Out of passion and the need to bring the best supplements, the idea for the first online store was born. Today we would say "e-commerce", back then it was simply a website to buy products not available in Poland. Initially it was a one-person business - modest, but with great ambitions. The first store was registered under the domain muscle-zone.com
Of huge importance in those first steps was the help of people who believed in the project. One of them was the late Tomasz Ciesielski - a strongly known figure in those days. He had never met the company's founder in person, yet he was supportive, delivering goods on time and giving credit that proved invaluable.
A toddler full of packages
Those early days had nothing to do with the scale of business today. Parcels for the company's customers were hauled by the CEO in.... with an old baby car. The car was so stuffed that the cartons landed on the passenger seat and had to be held with one hand while driving with the other. These were not stories about logistics and supply chains - this was everyday life, where only one thing mattered: that the customer got his supplement quickly and safely.
That toddler became a symbol of our beginnings - a little chaotic, a little improvised, but full of heart and determination.
From passion to a global brand
From the very beginning, we operated comprehensively - someone would ask for advice, and shop on occasion. We offered iconic products from the US at the time, imported thanks to private contacts and great determination.
Over time, the store grew from a passion into a full-fledged company. Over the years it grew along with the market demand, and the philosophy remained the same: to sell what we ourselves would like to buy and to talk about it directly, without marketing stitch.
An important step in the development was the creation of Apollo's Hegemony private label, which today is recognized all over the world - from the European Union to the USA to Australia and Dubai.
Challenges that shape character
As in any business, we too have not been without difficult moments. The COVID-19 pandemic brought the whole world to a standstill, blocked supplies and showed how fragile business can be in the era of the global village. During this period we had a warehouse and production in the UK, and at the same time Brexit was coming into effect. The sudden regulatory changes put everything in question.
For many, this meant closing down operations. For us - a motivation to shift the burden of business to Poland and continental Europe. Paradoxically, this difficult time forced us to develop further: building our own production plant in Pomerania, investing in modern machinery and expanding our production sector.
Each of these moments could have been a "nail in the coffin." Instead, it strengthened our character.
Where we are today
After nearly two decades of ups and downs, our company is no longer just an online store. We are now a private label manufacturer, a business partner for contract manufacturing, and a safe haven for our ambassadors who want to produce their products from A to Z without any problems.More than 70% of our turnover comes from private labels, and the majority is produced in our factory in Pomerania. It's a symbol of the road we've traveled: from a toddler stuffed with packages to a modern factory that ships supplements all over the world.
